Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)

Chinese medicine
Chinese medicine is the Chinese art of combining medicinal plants.
Typically each prescription is a cocktail of 8-12 different roots, barks, flowers, seeds tailored to the individual patient. Some of the ingredients are chosen to deal with the client’s problem and the others are chosen to personalise the remedy to the client’s individual circumstances.
It is a very effective method that utilises the power of synergy. This means the extra effect from combining ingredients. This is in addition to the benefits of the individual ingredients standalone. Using the power of synergy means the dosage of individual herbs can be kept low which makes Chinese medicine a very safe form of medicine when prescribed by a properly trained practitioner.
