I was approaching 39 and my GP referred me to a consultant to check things out who found nothing wrong but suggested due to my age the best possible chance of getting pregnant was IVF treatment. Another pregnancy test with a negative result. I kept it for half an hour in case the negative sign changed to a positive. We saw Jane’s website and made an appointment with her the next day I was nervous about the meeting; I didn’t know what to expect, Jane didn’t have a white coat or sit behind a desk behaving authoritarian. She had just come back from gymnastics, was really healthy looking, slightly eccentric but knew her stuff. She’s one of those people who gets on with everybody and puts you at ease, I felt like telling her everything. She prescribed a bespoke herbal tea that was difficult to drink at first, one cup in the morning and one in the evening, but I became used to it. Within 2 months my period started to become regular, I could not believe it! I lost weight and my BMI became normal and I had more energy, I loved waking up in the morning, putting on my jogging pants and trainers and walking for 3 miles, each day I found I could walk a bit further without feeling tired, I loved it.
